Harbaugh will be multi-tasking at Senior Bowl

Next week, he'll do some multi-tasking as he begins the scouting process at the Senior Bowl while also looking over resumes from unemployed coaches seeking jobs on his staff.Next Monday is the first day of practices for the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. The game is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 29 -- but most of the coaches and scouts will be gone by then. They get more useful information from the practices and interviews.
General manager Trent Baalke contractually has the final say on 49ers draft matters. But Baalke will likely defer to Harbaugh when he comes to selecting a quarterback."Athletic instincts, accuracy, timing, decision making, leadership, intelligence" are the characteristics Harbaugh said he would seek from his quarterback.The first six draft-eligible quarterbacks Harbaugh will evaluate are those he'll get to evaluate in-person next week in Mobile, Ala.: Andy Dalton (TCU), Colin Kaepernick (Nevada), Jake Locker (Washington), Greg McElroy (Alabama), Christian Ponder (Florida State) and Ricky Stanzi (Iowa).I was not invited to the Senior Bowl, but I'll be attending, nonetheless.
