Routt's list of suitors growing

Stanford Routt was released by the Raiders on Thursday, and his job search is picking up steam. A day after his dismissal, his agent said he was planning trips to Buffalo and Tennessee. A day later, he's been linked to Minnesota, Kansas City and Dallas.

The Raiders cut Routt to deny him 5 million in supposedly guaranteed money after he allowed the second most touchdowns among defensive backs (8), and committed an NFL-high 17 penalties.

Routt's addition to the free agent field of cornerbacks makes it particularly deep. Tennessee's Cortland Finnegan, Atlanta's Brent Grimes, Kansas City's Brandon Carr, New Orleans' Tracy Porter and the 49ers' Carlos Rogers are among the top tier, followed by New York Giant's Terrell Thomas and Aaron Ross and Detroit's Eric Wright.
