49ers sign Manningham for less than Redskins got Morgan

Newly signed wide receiver Mario Manningham will account 2.487 million on the 49ers' 2012 salary cap, a league source told CSNBayArea.com on Friday.The 49ers and Manningham agreed to a two-year, 7.375 million contract that includes a 2 million signing bonus and another 2.45 million in salary guarantees, the source said.Manningham's base salaries are 1.2 million in 2012 and 3.6 million in 2013. He is scheduled to count 4.887 on the 49ers' 2013 salary cap.
In comparison, the Washington Redskins signed former 49ers receiver Josh Morgan to a two-year, 11.5 million contract on the first day of free agency that included a 5.5 million signing bonus.
The 49ers announced the addition of Manningham on Thursday, along with the signings of receiver Ted Ginn, to a one-year deal, and quarterback Josh Johnson for two years.The 49ers had an estimated 6.2 million in salary cap room before factoring in the Ginn and Johnson contracts. Terms of those deals have yet to be disclosed. The 49ers are expected to require a little more than 4 million in space to sign their seven scheduled draft picks.
