Roethlisberger: 6-foot-5, 241 pounds, ninth season, Miami (Ohio)Let's see, the last time these two crossed paths, at Heinz Field in the 2010 season, the defensive tackle decked the quarterback with an open-palm right-handed strike to the facemask after Roethlisberger had thrown a 22-yard touchdown pass to Emmanuel Sanders.Roethlisberger went down like a sack of Primanti Bros. sandwiches and Seymour was promptly ejected, missing out on the rest of the Steelers' eventual 35-3 blowout victory.Almost two years later, the highlight, or lowlight, depending upon your perspective, will no doubt be shown over and over again."It was more of a surprise -- and I had said this afterwards -- because he's not a bad person," Roethlisberger told Pittsburgh reporters this week. "He and I know each other and we've talked. It's more of a shocking thing. I've seen him since and we've had laughs about it."After that game, Seymour was about to tell Bay Area beat writers what had occurred in the seconds before he struck Roethlisberger but approaching cameras changed his mind. Seymour has not spoken of the incident since."He made the statement," Seymour told CBS Sports this week. "I don't got nothing to add to it."What is more of a storyline to Sunday's game, however, is how Seymour and Co. need to disrupt Roethlisberger's timing by collapsing the pocket, especially with the Raiders' dinged-up secondary. Then again, Roethlisberger is known for his ability to improvise outside of the pocket and with his size, he is able to avoid sacks most other quarterbacks cannot and, thus, extend plays."They have to cover, and we have to rush," Seymour said. "When we get our shots, we need to make sure we bring him down and don't allow him to escape out of the pocket."Sans a palm strike to the grill, of course.
