Big men key upset of Celtics

It was Monta Ellis 37 points and C.J. Watsons career-highseven steals that were mostly responsible for the Warriors 103-99 win over theBoston Celtics on Monday night at Oracle Arena. But right behind them were Andris Biedrins and Ronny Turiaf.Literally, right behind them.Biedrins returned Monday after missing 25 games with injury, and Turiaf has been back for two games now. But its obvious that their defensein the paint and their ability to help and protect the rim has allowed theWarriors to play a different kind of defense the past two games. The Warriors forced Boston into 26 turnovers, which led to31 points, many of which were committed on the perimeter with Watson and Ellishounding the Celtics guards. Both Watson and Ellis said afterward that the return of the Warriorscenters has allowed them to be more aggressive and to gamble more on theperimeter. It started on Saturdaynight with a win over Phoenix.Although the Warriors gave up 132 points in that game, theystill managed to turn the Suns over 21 times, leading to the kinds of easybuckets they hadnt been getting.
