After the conclusion of the NFL’s waiver claiming period on Sunday, at 9 a.m., teams were allowed to begin signing players to their practice squads an hour later.

The 49ers waived 19 players on Saturday who were required to pass through waivers. Any player with fewer than four seasons of NFL service is subject to waivers. Running back DuJuan Harris was the only player the 49ers released who immediately became a free agent.

Each team is allowed to keep 10 players on its practice squad. Up to four players can have two accrued NFL seasons. A player is credited with an accrued season for spending at least six games on an active roster. Players can spend no more than three seasons on a practice squad. Six weeks counts as a full season.

Practice squad players earn a minimum of $6,900 a week. Practice squad players are free to be promoted to a 53-man roster of any team at any point during the season.

Here’s a tracker of the 49ers’ reported activity on Sunday:

--The 49ers will sign undrafted rookie receiver Bryce Treggs to the practice squad, if he clears waivers, a source tells CSNBayArea.com. Treggs caught 195 passes for 2,506 yards and 15 touchdowns in four seasons at Cal. He missed the final 2 1/2 games of the exhibition season with a knee sprain.

--The Seattle Seahawks claimed defensive lineman Garrison Smith, according to agent David Canter. The 49ers waived Smith on Saturday to get down to their 53-player limit. Smith had a strong training camp and exhibition season, but the 49ers decided to not keep him among their seven defensive linemen. Smith recorded 15 tackles, five for loss, and two sacks during the exhibition season.

--The Cincinnati Bengals claimed former 49ers quarterback Jeff Driskel off waivers. Veteran Christian Ponder beat out Driskel, a sixth-round draft pick, for the 49ers’ No. 3 job. Driskel joins Andy Dalton and AJ McCarron on the Bengals’ 53-man roster. Cincinnati on Saturday waived rookie quarterback Keith Wenning (Ball State).

--The Philadelphia Eagles put in a waiver claim and were awarded former 49ers receiver Bryce Treggs, whom the team had planned to re-sign to the practice squad if he had cleared waivers.

--The Cleveland Browns claimed former 49ers outside linebacker Corey Lemonier. The 49ers waived Lemonier on Saturday to get to the 53-player roster limit. Lemonier spent three seasons with the 49ers after being a third-round draft pick in 2013.

--The 49ers were not awarded any players via the waiver system, a league source told CSNBayArea.com.

--Wide receiver DeAndre Smelter, whom the 49ers waived/injured on Saturday, was not claimed off waivers. He automatically reverts to the 49ers' injured reserve list.

--Outside linebacker Marcus Rush, who led the NFL in preseason sacks with six, was not claimed. He is free to sign with any team's practice squad.

--The 49ers have signed inside linebacker Shayne Skov to their practice squad, a source told CSNBayArea.com. Skov has spent 2014 on the 49ers’ practice squad and played in 15 games last season.

--Marcus Rush will sign with the 49ers' practice squad, reports the Sacramento Bee.

--Tight end Je'Ron Hamm will sign with the 49ers' practice squad, reports the San Francisco Chronicle.

--Wide receiver Dres Anderson signed with the 49ers' practice squad, a source told CSNBayArea.com.

--Offensive lineman Fahn Cooper, a fifth-round draft pick, is signing to the 49ers' practice squad, the Chronicle reports.

--Running back Kelvin Taylor, a sixth-round draft pick, signed with the 49ers' practice squad, reports the NFL Network.

--Wide receiver Chris Harper, who originally signed with the New England Patriots in 2015 as an undrafted rookie, appears headed to the 49ers. He wrote on Twitter that he’s flying to San Francisco tonight. “Thankful for the opportunity with the 49ers,” he wrote. Harper (5 foot 11, 185 yards) appeared in five games for New England last season and caught one pass for 6 yards. It is not known if Harper will be on the practice squad or 53-man roster.

--Offensive lineman Norman Price signed with the 49ers' practice squad, reports the Houston Chronicle. The 49ers originally signed Price as an undrafted rookie from Southern Mississippi. The 49ers waived him on Saturday.

--Wide receiver Devon Cajuste, an undrafted rookie from Stanford, is signing with the Green Bay Packers' practice squad, the S.F. Chronicle reports.

--The 49ers announced nine members of their practice squad, including cornerback Prince Charles Iworah, a seventh-round draft pick, and center/guard Alex Balducci, who made the conversion from defensive lineman at Oregon to the offensive line. The 49ers confirmed the signings of the previously reported seven players. The final spot on the practice squad could be Harper.
