The San Francisco 49ers activated wide receiver Kyle Williams and linebacker Darius Fleming from the active/physically unable to perform list on Thursday morning.

Both players will participate in the team's training camp practice Thursday.

The team also placed wide receiver Michael Crabtree on the active/physically unable to perform list and defensive tackle Lamar Divens -- the teammate involved in Ahmad Books' offseason drama -- has been placed on the active/non-football injury list. Players placed on either list count against the 90-man roster limit and can be activated at any time prior to the final cuts of training camp.

Williams tore his ACL on the same play that Kendall Hunter tore his Achilles, in the team's 31-21 win over the Saints last Nov. 25. He joins a crowded receiving corps that expects stiff competition with Crabtree's absence atop the depth chart.

In addition to Crabtree and Williams, Anquan Boldin, Mario Manningham, A.J. Jenkins, Quinton Patton, Ricardo Lockette, Chad Hall, Marlon Moore, Kassim Osgood, Chuck Jacobs and Charly Martin are all on the 49ers roster.

Williams, Jenkins, Patton and Lockette are expected to battle it out to get onto the field, and Manningham will jump into the competition once he is cleared to play. Behind Boldin, no jobs are guaranteed.
