The 49ers are one of only two NFL teams that can clinch a playoff berth in Week 12, the other being the undefeated Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers.
The 49ers and the Packers were the first teams in the league to receive their "playoff scenarios" email, as they each had the chance to clinch playoff berths, but failed to do so, last week.
REWIND: 49ers can clinch playoff berth in Week 11
Last week, the 49ers chances were contingent upon the Seahawks' outcome. This week, the 49ers hold their own destiny.
The 49ers will clinch a playoff berth with either of the following scenarios:
1. 49ers win or tie
2. Seahawks lose or tie and Cardinals lose or tie

The 49ers face the division-rival Rams Sunday at 1:15 p.m., at the same time the Cardinals draw the Dallas Cowboys, while the Seahawks will have faced the Eagles in the Thursday night game.
With a five-game lead in the division, clinching a playoff berth has been an inevitability for some weeks. But it won't come without its celebration, as the first trip to the postseason for the 49ers since 2002.
