The 49ers will hold three open practices during training camp, coach Jim Harbaugh revealed last week.

He attempted to recall the dates that have been set aside for practices inside Levi’s Stadium. A team spokesman said the 49ers will officially announce those dates at some point in the near future.

We will not report the dates Harbaugh said because of the confusion it might create if he were wrong. But if Harbaugh’s memory was accurate the 49ers will not have an open practice on a weekend.

Last summer, the 49ers held an open practice at Candlestick Park two days after their exhibition opener. This year, the 49ers will remain in Baltimore after opening with a practice game Thursday, Aug. 7, at the Baltimore Ravens.

The 49ers will hold joint practices with the Ravens on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday before leaving Baltimore on the afternoon of Monday, Aug. 11, to return to the Bay Area. The Friday practice will be at the Ravens' downtown stadium. The next three days of work will be at the team's practice facility in Owings Mills, Maryland.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh told reporters last week that his team will travel to Santa Clara for joint practices with the 49ers in the future – possibly next summer.

Training camp opens for the 49ers on July 16, when rookies are scheduled to report to the team’s Santa Clara complex. The team’s quarterbacks, including Colin Kaepernick, and rehabbing veteran players are scheduled to report on July 18.

The entire team is scheduled to report on July 23. No on-field work is allowed on the first day of camp. And no contact is permissible in the first two days of practices. The 49ers’ first full-squad, padded practice is scheduled for July 26.
