49ers inactives: Bush out, Davis returns vs Ravens

SANTA CLARA – Tight end Vernon Davis and running back Carlos Hyde are active for the 49ers after taking part in limited practice in the week leading up to Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens at Levi’s Stadium.

Davis has missed the past two games with a grade-1 sprain of the medial collateral ligament, as well as a bone bruise, in his left knee. Hyde took part in limited practice work in the past week with a foot injury.

Running back Reggie Bush is not active due to a calf strain. Rookies Jarryd Hayne and Mike Davis are the backup running backs behind Hyde.

However, the 49ers will not have the services of wide receiver Bruce Ellington, who sustained a calf injury during practice. Rookie receiver DeAndrew White is active and could handle the team’s kickoff returns.

Outside linebacker Ahmad Brooks is back in action after attending the funeral of his older sister, who died recently in Louisiana from a connective tissue disease. With Brooks active for the game, Corey Lemonier will not suit up.

The Ravens will have the services of running back Justin Forsett (ankle) and receiver Steve Smith (back). Both players were listed as questionable for the game but are expected to be in Baltimore’s starting lineup.
