49ers review vs. Giants: Wide receivers, tight ends

The player-by-player review of every position group from the 49ers' 26-3 loss to the New York Giants continues . . .Wide receivers
10-Kyle Williams: He played a season-high 34 snaps of offense, and caught all four passes that came his way for 40 yards. . . Returned opening kickoff from near the back of the end zone and only got out to the 15. He finished with only a 19.3 average on six kickoff returns. . . Kept the second drive alive with two successful third-down receptions.
15-Michael Crabtree: After catching 7-yard pass for a first down on the opening drive, Crabtree was not much of a factor the rest of the way. He was targeted for six passes, and caught three for 26 yards. . . He played 49 of the 49ers' 61 snaps. . . The second drive stalled when QB Alex Smith's pass intended for him was tipped at the line of scrimmage. Crabtree tried to adjust, appeared to get his hands on the ball, but could not secure the catch. It would've given the 49ers a first down.
17-A.J. Jenkins: He was inactive (coaches' decision).
19-Ted Ginn Jr.: He played one snap on offense. He also returned two punts for a total of 22 yards.
82-Mario Manningham: He played 41 snaps on offense, and the 49ers seemed to make it a priority to get the ball to him against his former team. Manningham caught five of the 10 passes thrown his way for 72 yards.
84-Randy Moss: He played just 17 of the team's 61 offensive snaps in the game and seemed to do a good job of winning off the line of scrimmage against CB Prince Amukamara. Showed he can still be a deep threat. . . Only three passes went his way. Smith hit him on passes of 20 and 55 yards. Backup quarterback Colin Kaepernick overthrew him in the third quarter.Tight ends
46-Delanie Walker: He played 21 snaps and did not catch a pass. He should've tried to break up a deep pass from Smith that resulted in Amukamara's interception.
81-Garrett Celek: He played four snaps of offense and saw two passes go his way. He dropped a pass in the first quarter, and later had a 4-yard reception.
83-Demarcus Dobbs: He did not play on offense, but had a team-high 28 snaps on special teams.
85-Vernon Davis: He played all 61 snaps on offense, and was clearly a focus of the Giants' defense. He had five passes thrown his way, and he caught three for 37 yards.
