SANTA CLARA -- Cornerback Carlos Rogers is not expected to be available Sunday for the 49ers' NFC divisional playoff game against the Carolina Panthers.

Rogers did not take part in the 49ers' Friday morning walk-through, and he was rehabbing his right hamstring strain on a side field as the 49ers began their final practice before their charter flight to Charlotte, N.C.

When asked if Rogers could play Sunday without practicing, 49ers defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said, "No."

Rogers was listed as "questionable" on the 49ers' official injury report -- just as he was a week ago before he missed the playoff game against the Green Bay Packers.

When asked if there’s a chance Rogers will play Sunday, 49ers coach Harbaugh did not seem to indicate that was part of the plan.

“I don’t know what the percentage would be, but suppose there’s a chance,” Harbaugh said.

Rogers sustained the hamstring injury in the 49ers' final game of the regular season. He did not play in the 49ers' playoff opener against the Green Bay Packers.

Tramaine Brock and Tarell Brown will start at cornerback against the Panthers. Perrish Cox is expected to remain in the role of the nickel back.

Rogers was tied for No. 1 during the NFL regular season with the New York Jets’ Kyle Wilson and Pittsburgh’s William Gay at allowing a reception one every 11.6 plays he lined up on the slot receiver, according to Pro Football Focus.
