The 49ers tendered a one-year contract to Spillman, the exclusive rights free agent, on March 2.Spillman, 25, has played in 21 games for the 49ers, recording nine tackles and 32 special steam stops.
Last season Spillman notched 19 special teams tackles, tying him for fourth-most in the NFL.
