The 49ers have sold out their inaugural season at the newly constructed 68,00 seat Levi's Stadium.

Chief operating officer Al Guido spoke to the San Jose Mercury News on Monday, announcing the sellout.

"It's a historic day," Guido said to the Mercury. "It's a testament to the fans and their passion. I think they were genuinely excited and blown away by the design and all the things that go into the stadium."

The sellout continues a streak dating back to the 49ers 1982 season.

Only a handful of standing-room only tickets remain available for fans who hope to pay face value to see the Scarlet and Gold during the 2014-15 season.
