I think I'm a guy who can do it all: Press, play off. I think I'm an all-around guy.
Keith Reaser

Cornerback Keith Reaser, who is not expected to play this season after undergoing ACL surgery in February, signed a four-year contract with the 49ers on Wednesday. The 49ers selected Reaser in the fifth round of the draft with the No. 170 overall selection.

Reaser, a four-year player from Florida Atlantic, tore his left ACL in October. He got news at the NFL Scouting Combine during the medical check that the knee ligament had been rejected by his body. He underwent surgery Feb. 27 with a graft from his patellar tendon to begin his rehab from the beginning.

"Things are going pretty good right now," Reaser said. "I'm making good progress. So I'm just going to work with the 49ers' doctors from here and keep the progress going."

Reaser (5-foot-10, 189 pounds) did not run at the NFL Scouting Combine. He is believed to have sub-4.4 speed in the 40-yard dash.

"I think I'm a guy who can do it all: Press, play off," Reaser said. "I think I'm an all-around guy. I think I know the game well. I think I can pick up on the defense. I think I'm an all-around corner."

Reaser becomes the third draft pick to sign. On Tuesday, the 49ers signed fifth-round draft pick Aaron Lynch, an outside linebacker from South Florida, and Boston College defensive lineman Kaleb Ramsey.
