49ers sign three to future contracts

The 49ers on Tuesday signed three free agents, including two wide receivers, to future contracts for the 2014 season.

The 49ers signed wide receivers David Reed and DeMarco Sampson, as well as defensive tackle Christian Tupou, to deals to participate in the team’s offseason program.

Reed, who played collegiately at Utah, has four years of NFL experience with the Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts. Last season he caught five passes for 66 yards with the Ravens. This season, he had one catch for 2 yards with the Colts.

Sampson had three catches for 36 yards in 2011 with the Arizona Cardinals. Sampson was born in Oakland and attended San Diego State.

Tupou, a Sacramento native who played at USC, appeared in five games with the Chicago Bears this season and recorded three tackles.
