The 49ers face the Carolina Panthers on Sunday in the divisional round of the NFC playoffs to determine which team will travel to Seattle for a Sunday, Jan. 19 game, beginning at 3:30 p.m. (PT). The NFC champion will face the AFC champion in Super Bowl XLVIII in East Rutherford, N.J., on Feb. 2.

And, officially, Candlestick Park has seen its final 49ers game. If the Saints had defeated the Seahawks and the 49ers beat the Panthers, the 49ers would have been the home team in the NFC Championship game.

The 49ers’ 34-24 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Dec. 23 was the final game at Candlestick Park. The 49ers will move into Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara next season.
