SANTA CLARA – Wide receiver Michael Crabtree sat out during the 49ers' non-padded practice on Thursday one day after leaving the field early due to an apparent lower leg condition.

Crabtree took part in individual and one-on-one drills during practice Wednesday afternoon. He did not sustain any noticeable injury. At one point early in practice, a 49ers athletic trainer tended to Crabtree as he sat on the ground.

A short time later, Crabtree walked back to the 49ers’ locker room by himself. There is no word from the 49ers on Crabtree’s condition.

Wide receiver Brandon Lloyd, who also left practice early on Wednesday with an undisclosed condition, did not take part. He watched the final half of practice from the sideline.

Outside linebacker Aldon Smith returned to the practice field after attending a court hearing in LA. Cornerback Chris Culliver returned after sitting out the previous two practice sessions. Rookie center Marcus Martin and rookie linebacker Aaron Lynch made their practice field debuts, but took part in only individual drills.
