SANTA CLARA -- Defensive lineman Demarcus Dobbs signed a one-year tender with the 49ers to return to the team as a restricted free agent, the club announced Friday.

Dobbs is set to earn $1.431 million if he makes the 49ers' 53-man roster this season. Dobbs appeared in 15 games last season and recorded 37 tackles. He was also one of the 49ers' core special-teams players. Dobbs entered the NFL in 2011 after making the 49ers as an undrafted free agent from Georgia.
