The 49ers on Thursday hired Chip Kelly to become the organization’s seventh head coach of the past 15 years.

CEO Jed York made the announcement on Twitter.

The 49ers will be hoping Kelly can restore the organization to the on-field success it enjoyed during Jim Harbaugh’s time with the team, while providing an offensive jolt.

Kelly, known for his offensive innovations and cutting-edge scheme, has quite the track record on that side of the ball.

While with the Eagles, the head coach joined analyst Brian Baldinger in 2014 to break down film of his offense.

Below is a video of Kelly, the new head coach of the 49ers, pulling the curtain back on his system.
