Franchise tag scorecard

With the deadline for franchise tags just two days away, 11 NFL teams have locked up scheduled free agents with the designation. The 49ers, of course, placed a one-year, 6.2 million tender on safety Dashon Goldson, who recently fired agent Drew Rosenhaus and had nobody representing him until last week when he officially hired Ben Dogra of CAA Football. Thus far, only one wide receiver has been officially locked up. The Philadelphia Eagles tagged DeSean Jackson.

Other free agents could follow, as Kansas City's Dwayne Bowe is a likely candidate for the tag. Also, the Indianapolis Colts are contemplating using their tag on either receiver Pierre Garcon or defensive end Robert Mathis. We already know that the New Orleans Saints will not tag receiver Marques Colston or guard Carl Nicks. As expected, the Saints used the tag on quarterback Drew Brees on Saturday. Here's a look at the players who have been tagged thus far -- and, effectively, taken out of the free-agent pool:Franchise players
