Two-time Super Bowl-winning coach George Seifert will be inducted into the Edward J. DeBartolo Sr. 49ers Hall of Fame, the team announced Monday.

Seifert will be inducted on Saturday, Nov. 1. He will be honored at halftime of the 49ers’ game the following day against the St. Louis Rams at Levi’s Stadium.

Seifert, a San Francisco native, spent 17 seasons with the 49ers after joining the franchise in 1980 as the team’s secondary coach. He spent six seasons as defensive coordinator before winning two Super Bowls in eight seasons as head coach.

Seifert produced a 98-30 regular season record (.766) and is one of three coaches in NFL history to win a Super Bowl during his first season as head coach.

He becomes the 25th individual selected to the 49ers Hall of Fame.
