SANTA CLARA -- Coach Jim Harbaugh gave endorsements Monday to his three top assistants as having what it takes to become successful head coaches.Harbaugh brought offensive coordinator Greg Roman and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio with him to the 49ers from his staff at Stanford. Along the way, he picked up Brad Seely as assistant head coachspecial teams coordinator.Harbaugh said he is not sure how long he'll be able to keep his staff intact."He's just a phenomenal football coach," Harbaugh said of Seely, who devised the surprise onside kick that led to a 49ers field goal on Sunday in their 27-20 win over the New York Giants."I sit in on their meetings and I don't say a word. I just learn. He's a great coach. . . . I almost got the feeling that we got coach Seely now and at some point some smart organization is going to hire him away from us. We'll be playing against him. And the same can be said with Greg Roman and Vic Fangio."Harbaugh did not hesitate when asked if he believes Seely, Roman and Fangio are "head coaches in waiting.""Yes, I do," Harbaugh said. "I've been around a lot of coaches, seen a lot of coaches, both as a player and as assistant coach and as a head coach. There's no doubt in my mind those are three great coaches."In the latest installment of "Matt and Mindi," we talk about the 49ers' coaching staff and its role in the team's success.
