Harbaugh talks victory, refutes rumored riff between him and Gore

ST. LOUIS -- Left tackle Joe Staley, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, appears to be fine after X-rays were negative on a right ankle injury he sustained late in the 49ers' 35-11 victory over the St. Louis Rams.
"I think were going to dodge a bullet there," 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said of Staley. "He's going to walk that one off."
The injury occurred on a LaMichael James rush with less than two minutes remaining and the 49ers leading 35-11. With Staley in obvious pain, many of his teammates gathered around him while the team's medical staff examined him. He declined to be taken off the field on a cart. After he emerged from undergoing an X-ray, Staley reported there was no break.
