Jeff Garia dusted off his throwing arm Friday afternoon, tossing passes to San Jose State wide receivers and tight ends who participated in the school's pro day, according to a tweet from Jimmy Durkin of the Mercury News.
Garcia also gave a pep talk to SJSU players prior to beginning workouts, Durkin tweeted.
Garcia played three seasons at SJSU, throwing for a total of 6,545 yards and 48 TDs while completing 56.8-percent of his passes. His 729 rushing yards at SJSU slated him atop the school's career offensive yardage list when he graduated, accumulating a total of 7,274 yards with the Spartans.
In five season with the 49ers, Garcia completed 61.4-percent of his passes for a total of 16,408 yards and 113 TDs. He appeared in three straight Pro Bowls as a 49er from 2000-02.
