RICHMOND, Va. — Jerry Rice Jr. suffered a season-ending shoulder injury after landing awkwardly in Thursday’s practice, Redskins Coach Jay Gruden said.
“I think he tore his labrum and he’s going to have to have surgery,” Gruden said Friday.
Rice was participating in one-on-one drills against cornerback Richard Crawford when the injury occurred. Rice was reaching for a pass when he lost his balance and landed awkwardly on his left arm.
