Football fans everywhere are familiar with the intricate body art emblazoned on the biceps of Colin Kaepernick. Now an entire readership will be able to see just how much real estate those tattoos actually cover as the 49ers' young quarterback will pose nude for ESPN The Magazine.

Kaepernick will join fellow 49er Vernon Davis as well as New York Mets ace Matt Harvey, Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton and 17 other athletes as they bare all for the 2013 edition of the ESPN Body Issue.

According to ESPN, Kaepernick is relishing the opportunity to be included in the photo shoot and show off his many tattoos.

"Being selected by ESPN The Magazine for the Body Issue is an incredible honor," Kaepernick said. "Thank you for believing in me, my 49ers family and my INK!"

Kaepernick's enthusiasm for physical fitness should also serve him well in his photo shoot for ESPN. The 25-year-old recently signed an endorsement deal with MusclePharm, a company that creates nutritional supplements.
