That's all right. They can tweet to me tonight.
Colin Kaepernick's message to those who criticized him on Twitter

Following the 49ers' 35-11 victory over the Rams Thursday night, Colin Kaepernick appeared on the NFL Network's postgame set.

"Many people say you favorited a lot of the ignorance that was going on on Twitter. How can it not bother you, and how do you utilize that to step your game up and take it to the next level?" Deion Sanders asked the 49ers quarterback.

"The same people that are writing those things know nothing about me," Kaepernick said. "They know nothing about what's going through my mind; the work I put in. So, those things are said out of pure ignorance. So for me what really matters is what my family thinks, what my teammates think, what my coaches think.

And when they say they still have faith in me, and still believe in me, that's all I need."

Prior to his bounce-back performance against St. Louis, Kaepernick struggled mightily in San Francisco's previous two games -- losses to the Seahawks and Colts.

As a result, many of his followers on Twitter began voicing their displeasure with his on-field performance.

For motivation, Kaepernick began "favoriting" many of the angriest tweets, and was asked about his doing so on Tuesday.

"It's something I do for me," Kaepernick told reporters. "It helps me."

Before he left the NFL Network set Thursday, Kaepernick was asked one final question:

"How many tweets did you favorite?" Rich Eisen asked.

"I don't know why this is a big deal," Kaepernick said. "It's not the first time I've done it."

Eisen then said, "If I favorited every troll I had I wouldn't be working. That would take all day. I can't even imagine what your Twitter timeline looked like, Colin."

Kaepernick's response: "That's all right. They can tweet to me tonight."
