The Kansas City Chiefs are resting their hopes on the arm of Alex Smith, and Las Vegas wants in on the action.

Smith isn't officially property of the Chiefs but that hasn't stopped Bovada Sportsbook from setting Prop bets on the performance of Smith for the upcoming 2013 season.

They are setting the bar pretty high for Smith. The Over/Under for Smith's passing yards is 3,000. In seven professional seasons, Smith has surpassed that mark just once when he threw for 3,144 yards in 2011.

As for passing touchdowns, Bovada set the Over/Under at 18 1/2. If Smith were to hit the Over, he'd set a new career-high. He found the end zone 18 times in 2009.

Over the last two seasons, Smith did a good job of not turning the ball over, throwing just five interceptions each season. Bovada doesn't think Smith will see the same kind of success, setting the Over/Under at 10 1/2 interceptions for Smith in 2013. He has thrown 11+ interceptions in three seasons (2005: 11, 2006: 16, 2009: 12).
