SANTA CLARA – Wide receiver Mario Manningham, who sat out the 49ers’ game Monday night with a sore knee, did not practice Thursday.

Rookie Quinton Patton saw his first playing time since sustaining a fractured right foot on Sept. 26 against the St. Louis Rams. Patton, playing in place of Manningham, was on the field for 18 snaps of offense against the Atlanta Falcons but did not have a pass thrown his way.

Manningham, a sixth-year pro, has not made much of an impact in six games this season with nine receptions for 85 yards. He sustained a season-ending knee injury a year ago, and missed the first eight games of the season while on the physically-unable-to-perform list.
