San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee will be in Baltimore Friday on Super Bowl related business.
Lee is making good on his bet with Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake that the 49ers would defeat the Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII.
Instead of monetary exchange, the terms of the bet stipulate that Lee participate in a day of community service around Baltimore as well as crack some Baltimore blue crab and learn how to make a crab cake sandwich.
“Although I do wish the Super Bowl resulted in a San Francisco 49ers victory and had required Mayor Rawlings-Blake to visit San Francisco, I look forward to cracking some Baltimore crab and joining AmeriCorps in the Service Bowl," Lee said to the Baltimore Sun. “I believe this day of education and service will strengthen the relationship between our two cities and promote a call of service to our communities.”
