New York Giants — What they're saying

Share

No sooner had the Giants left the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field than their attention turned to the NFC Championship. And Justin Tuck -- who was officially credited with one tackle against the Packers -- wasted no time sending a message to the 49ers.

"We're gonna be hard to beat" Tuck told the New York Post after Sunday's dominant win.

Then he took it a step further, while still not issuing a Joe Namath-like declaration:

Im going to go ahead and answer this for you: Do we feel were gonna win in San Fran? Tuck said. Yes, we feel like were gonna win in San Fran. Am I guaranteeing a win? No, Im not.

What about New York's coach, who is to bravado what his Big Apple counterpart Rex Ryan is to subtlety?

We are, Tom Coughlin said in his postgame interview, a dangerous team.

Giants linebacker was a bit more measured in his comments to the New York Daily News, but similarly matter-of-fact, saying of the 49ers, "Theyre just in the way of where we want to be."
