The Eagles might not be actively shopping DeSean Jackson but they’re picking up the phone and listening to offers.

And, according to CSN’s Derrick Gunn, other teams are interested.

The team has taken inquiries from the 49ers and Patriots, Gunn has learned from a league source, and notified the Pro Bowl wideout early last week that it’s not shopping him but is listening to potential suitors.

Also according to the source, the Eagles are seeking at least a third-round pick and potentially more for Jackson, whose career-best 1,332 yards last season ranked ninth among NFL receivers. Jackson also tied a career high with nine touchdowns and averaged 16.2 yards per reception, third-highest among wideouts with at least 80 receptions.

From Insider Matt Maiocco earlier this month:

There appear to be several factors that would make the 49ers balk, including the locker room dynamic. General manager Trent Baalke carefully considers how a player from the outside will fit in with the 49ers. It seems unlikely Baalke will ever bring a player in from the outside and immediately make him the team’s highest-paid player. Baalke has emphasized the 49ers' top priority is to retain their own top producers.

Jackson, who is signed through 2016, is scheduled to earn $10.75 million in 2014. Tight end Vernon Davis is the 49ers' top-paid offensive player at $7.35 million a year.

Of course, the 49ers still have a need for speed. The 49ers have high hopes for Quinton Patton, who finished his injury-plagued rookie season as the team’s No. 3 wideout. The club also has 12 draft picks, including an expected compensatory selection.
