A skill player on offense the team reportedly met with is Louisiana Tech running back Kenneth Dixon, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Dixon, who checked in at 5-foot-10, 215 pounds at the NFL Combine, played four seasons for the Bulldogs from 2012-2015.

As a freshman, Dixon broke out for 1,194 rushing yards and an NCAA-high 27 rushing touchdowns. His 28 total scores that year were also the most in college football.

Over his final two years, Dixon surpassed 1,000 yards on the ground and posted 22 and 19 touchdowns, respectively.

The 49ers currently have Carlos Hyde, Shaun Draughn, Kendall Gaskins, Mike Davis, DuJuan Harris and Jarryd Hayne on the roster.

Hyde missed nine games last season due to injury.
