The 49ers have been doing plenty of background on draft-eligible prospects this offseason, meeting with several coveted players.

One offensive player they met with is Georgia wideout Malcolm Mitchell, according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post.

He also met with the Eagles and Patriots.

Mitchell, who checked in at 6-foot-0, 198 pounds at the NFL Combine, played four seasons over five years for the Bulldogs.

An ACL tear prior to the 2013 season opener caused him to miss the year.

Mitchell, an All-SEC selection, accrued 174 catches, 2,350 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns over his NCAA career.

He was the No. 30 overall recruit in the nation in 2011, according to Yahoo! Rivals.

The 49ers have looked at several wide receivers, also working out Biletnikoff Award winner Corey Coleman (Baylor) and setting up a meeting with Laquon Treadwell (Ole Miss)
