Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon reportedly faces a season-long suspension after a failed drug test, reports ESPN’s “Outside the Lines.”

Gordon was suspended for the first two games of the 2013 due violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

He still caught 87 passes for 1,646 and nine touchdowns and was named to the Pro Bowl team, as well as first-team All-Pro, in just his second NFL season.

Gordon was rumored to be on the trade block last season after returning from the suspension. The 49ers had interest, a source told CSNBayArea.com last season, but the 49ers would have insisted on conditions as insurance against a possible Gordon suspension in the future.

The latest violation is the result of marijuana being found during a drug test, reports ESPN. Gordon received a letter in late-April that he faced a 16-game suspension but has the right to appeal, according to the report.
