SANTA CLARA – The 49ers’ defense might be frustrated by the struggles of the team’s offense, but veteran cornerback Carlos Rogers said there’s not the kind of internal friction that can rip a team apart.

Rogers, who spent his first six NFL seasons with Washington, said he has seen finger-pointing and “people calling each other out” during his career.

“But I don’t think that’s going to happen in this locker room,” Rogers said. “We’re a tight family. We stick together. We don’t call people out. Whatever we do, we handle in-house.”

The 49ers (6-4) have lost back-to-back games for the second time this season. And the 49ers own the league’s last-ranked passing game. The 49ers went three-and-out in their final two offensive possessions Sunday in a 23-20 loss to the New Orleans Saints.

“It’s frustrating for everybody, not just the defensive guys,” Rogers said. “But there will be some weeks when teams are going to score on us and offense going to be wondering why we ain’t getting three-and-outs and why we’re not shutting people down.

“They’ll get it together. They’re a good coaching staff, good players and we got more players coming back. We’ll find a way.”

Rogers said it’s only natural for the team’s defense to be frustrated that the offense is not doing its share of the heavy-lifting for the 49ers. The 49ers have been held to less than 200 yards total yards in back-to-back games.

“As a human being, you’re still frustrated,” Rogers said. “I’m pretty sure those guys are frustrated, too. But once you’re playing you’re trying to make the best of a situation and find a way to make plays. Each and every week, we still put ourselves in position to win the game. We just don’t finish.

“You’re frustrated by the losses, period. We’re a team and we’re sticking together no matter what the situation might be. We’re trying to find away to win.”
