Morgan was the 49ers' leading receiver with five catches for 75 yards in the 49ers' 48-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Candlestick Park.Morgan was injured with more than four minutes remaining in the game when Tampa Bay cornerback Anthony Gaitor tackled him after a 19-yard reception from backup quarterback Colin Kaepernick to the 1-yard line with the 49ers leading 41-3.

The pass play was called on a fourth-and-3 situation. Coach Jim Harbaugh defended his decision.
"You've got to play," Harbaugh said after the game. "You can't take a knee with four minutes left in the game. It could have been a run. Josh was competing. I think he's going to be OK. (Kaepernick) is competing. He's got to get the work. We're not taking a knee with four minutes left in the game."Tight end Vernon Davis, who was on the sideline on the play, helped carry Morgan off the field."Me and Josh are from the same neighborhood (in Washington)," Davis said. "I've know Josh the majority of my life. We have a bond.
