The first of the highly anticipated 49ers-Seahawks regular-season matchups will not be the opener to the NFL regular season.

The 49ers will open the 2014 season at the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Sept. 7, according to sources familiar with the schedule.

The 49ers will open Levi's Stadium the following week against the Chicago Bears. The game is believed to be a Sunday night game.

The 49ers are also expected to host a marquee game on Thanksgiving night.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports the Green Bay Packers will play the Seahawks on Sept. 4 to kick off the regular season.
