Superdome spokesman  Eric Eagan released a statement following the power outage shortly after the start of the second half of Super Bowl XLVII which delayed play for a total of 34 minutes:

“Power has been restored.  We sincerely apologize for the incident.”

The NFL also released a statement regarding the power outage:

“Stadium authorities are investigating the cause of the power outage.  We will have more information as it becomes available.”
