"What is the 49ers' biggest offseason priority?"
That's the question Jim Kozimor posed to Barry Tompkins, Guy Haberman and Lowell Cohn on Wednesday night's Yahoo! SportsTalk Live Blitz.
Here's how they responded:
Cohn: "I think they need to draft a quarterback. I'm saying in the third round ... The Niners need competition and an alternative at quarterback, and they need someone who is not a run-first quarterback. They need a pocket passer. You need a pocket passer to win the Super Bowl."
Tompkins: "I agree with Lowell. I think what they need, at the very least, is a backup quarterback ... But the good thing about this team is where they need help is in terms of depth ... But by and large this is a good football team. It's not that broke. You don't have to do that much to fix it."
Haberman: "They drafted A.J. Jenkins two years ago for a reason. They still haven't found the guy that A.J. Jenkins was supposed to be, which is a speed receiver. That's what they need above all else. Now, if they can get Boldin cheap, or cheaper, then it's less of a pressing need."
