Giants pitcher Brian Wilson took the field Friday morning hoping his body had recovered from the stiffness that kept him from participating in the Giants' early Spring Training workouts.

Wilson was out on a back field with a trainer early Friday morning, working with a trainer for about five minutes before they decided to shut it down again.

Wilson is not out on the field for the Giants' Friday practice.

As CSNBayArea.com MLB Insider Mychael Urban reported on Wednesday, Brian Wilson and Tim Lincecum were initially limited in their bullpen sessions on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Giants manager Bruce Bochy said Wilson might be able to throw in his scheduled Thursday bullpen session, but if there was stiffness at all when Wilson tested his body, the Giants weren't going to take any chances.

There was stiffness on Thursday, and the decision to pitch or not to pitch was taken out of Wilson's eager hands.
