Its getting a little bit old, but Monta Ellis is still being atrooper about it all.
Once the fans selected the starters for next Sundays All-StarGame in Dallas, Ellis was inundated with questions about whether or nothed make it as a sub and how important it was to him.
Then, after the coaches didnt vote him in as an All-Starsubstitute, Ellis was asked about how it felt to not be selected. He handledthe questions like a pro.
After Chris Paul had to pull out because of injury, Ellis was thenasked more about whether or not he thought hed make the team as Paulsreplacement and how important it was to him. And so he answered again.
Of course, Ellis didnt get selected. He was passed over in favorof DenversChauncey Billups. That set up more questions about how he felt about Billupsmaking it and not him.
He stepped up and answered all the questions again.
Then Brandon Roy had to drop out of the game and so Ellis was askedagain on Sunday whether or not he thought hed make it and how importantit was to him. He continued to do well answering.
Today, Ellis found out commissioner David Stern had selected theClippers Chris Kaman to replace Roy.Naturally, Ellis was asked again Monday what he thought. He handled it allquite nicely again.
Said Ellis most recently: Im blessed and have 10 or 12years to get there.
Well, Ellis still may have one more chance. Apparently, Lakers guardKobe Bryant might not play in the game. Word to Ellis: Get ready for morequestions.
