Former Warriors forward and current NBA free agent Matt Barnes is homeand tweeting comfortably after being arrested Monday in L.A. on a misdemeanor outstanding trafficwarrant.

According to the Associated Press, Barnes, 32, was walking on a busy thoroughfare20 miles southwest of downtown Los Angeles Monday night around 8:30 p.m. when he wasarrested on an outstanding misdemeanor traffic warrant -- and subsequently for investigation of threatening apolice officer.

Manhattan Beach Lt. Steve Tobias told the AP Barnes was not cooperativeduring the arrest and alleges he threatened the officer. The original misdemeanorcharge stemmed from a ticket Barnes received for driving on a suspendedlicense.

The alleged threat to the officer ballooned Barnes bail from 26K to 51K.That means bail for a threat to an officer (a felony) is worth 25K in California. Either way, Barnes locatedenough cash to be released at 11:30 p.m. Monday night.

Matt Barnes was a key member of the Warriors 'We Believe' team in 2007. Barnes spent the last two seasons with the Lakers. He averaged 7.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2 assists per game last season.
