Giants: Tim Lincecum (1-1, 0.64) - It was vintage Freak in Thursday's 8-4 win over San Diego. Lincecum allowed one run and three hits in seven innings, racking up 13 strikeouts without a walk. His first start of the season was a hard-luck loss to L.A. in which he allowed one unearned run in seven innings.
Dodgers: Chad Billingsley (1-1, 8.00) - The right-hander has not enjoyed much success through his first two starts. He allowed five runs in three innings Wednesday against Colorado. His first start of the season came against San Fran, which managed three runs in six innings in a 4-3 L.A. victory.
Previous games
Pat Burrell's solo homer was the lone offensive highlight for the Giants in Monday's 6-1 loss in the series opener. Clayton Kershaw outpitched Madison Bumgarner, who was reached for five runs in five innings.
