Giants' Sanchez to DL with dislocated shoulder

The Giants have placed second baseman Freddy Sanchez on the disabled list with a dislocated right shoulder.

The team signed utility player Bill Hall in the wake of the injury to Sanchez. Comcast SportsNet's Amy Gutierrez has been following the situation, and reports via Twitter that Hall will be wearing jersey No. 29, and is listed as available on today's lineup.Hall was released by the Astros on June 4.Hall was batting .224 in 147 at-bats and 46 games at the time of his release. He is an eight-year Major League veteran.Hall hit 18 homers in 382 plate appearances for Boston in 2010 but struggled at the plate this season.
Sanchez, the Giants' leading hitter, was batting .289 with three homers and 24 RBIs.
