Andres Torres went 1-for-4 with two runs in his rehab start with the Triple-A Grizzlies on Tuesday.

Torres flew out to center his first at bat, struck out his second at bat, was hit by a pitch in his third plate appearance, struck out again in his four appearance, and finally singled on a ground ball to right field in his fifth plat appearance. He scored after the HBP and single.

Torres was removed from the game and did not play defense in the bottom of the ninth.

Torres has made six starts for the Grizzlies on this rehab stint, going 7-for-26 (.269) with one double, two triples and two home runs. He has zero stolen bases and has walked once and struck out eight times.

"Torres is doing well," Bruce Bochy said before the Giants played the Padres Wednesday. "He's playing well. He can come off Saturday, so we'll have to make a move then."

The Giants' centerfielder was placed on the DL Saturday, Aug. 13 after fouling a ball off his lower leg.
