SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Giants closer Brian Wilson on Saturday took another big step in his recovery from the back stiffness that plagued him early in camp, facing teammates Freddy Sanchez and Travis Ishikawa during a back-field batting practice session that lasted about 12 minutes.Giants manager Bruce Bochy said Wilson threw mostly fastballs but did throw all of his secondary pitches, and the skipper was pleased with Wilson's form."He was letting it go," Bochy said after the Giants beat a split squad of Dodgers at Scottsdale Stadium. "He looked real good."

There is no timetable for Wilson's Cactus League debut, but Bochy suggested that if Wilson feels fine on Sunday and gets the OK from head athletic trainer Dave Groeschner and pitching coach Dave Righetti, he could appear in a game as early as Monday."We'll get together and see if he's ready to go," Bochy said. "He looks ready to me, but we'll have to see how he feels tomorrow."Sanchez, who has been limited early in camp while strengthening his surgically repaired left shoulder, was given the green light to take his hacks against Wilson, and Bochy liked what he saw there, too.San Francisco's starting second baseman, however, likely won't make his Cactus League debut until Tuesday or Wednesday. He didn't make his 2010 debut -- he had a more involved surgery on the same shoulder last winter -- until late May."We're just going to make sure he's 100 percent before we send him out there," Bochy said. "But it's nothing like last year. He feels great, looks great, everything's on schedule.Having him for the whole year is going to be a nice boost for us."
