The highly anticipated rematch between UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones and title contender Alexander Gustafsson has been postponed.
Gustafsson has been forced to withdraw from the bout due to an undisclosed injury. Taking his place is undefeated title contender Daniel Cormier, who fights out of AKA in San Jose.
Jones, who has been champion since 2011, had recently called out Cormier before agreeing to the fight with Gustafsson.
Cormier, who dropped down to 205, has been aiming for a shot at Jones since before he made his light heavyweight debut earlier this year.
The two have had verbal altercations via Twitter and Cormier has been anxiously waiting his turn at the champ.
The two will face off at UFC 178 on Saturday, Sept 27 in Las Vegas.
