United States Men's National Team head coach Juergen Klinsmann took to YouTube on Tuesday to express his gratitude to American soccer fans:

"In the name of the entire United States Men's National Team, I just want to thank all the fans for a tremendous and outstanding year 2013.

"It's been an amazing year in terms of World Cup qualifying, Gold Cup, exciting friendly games. And the way the fans stepped it up in this country has been unbelievable for us. From the attendance at the stadiums, the support at the games, the pep rallies, the tailgating, the social media correspondence and communication. We all stepped it up to another level in soccer in this country and this is very exciting.

"Again, thank you very, very much to all of you from the entire team around the men's national team."

This calendar year, the USMNT is 16-2-3 and enjoyed a 12-game winning streak from June 2 to Sept. 6 in which they outscored opponents 39-11. A 2-0 win over Mexico on Sept. 10 coupled with a 2-2 draw between Panama and Honduras clinched the United States a berth in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
